Tire Markup Cheat Sheet
Margin vs. markup, the one formula you need, and the add-ons that quietly eat your profit. Free download, no email needed.
What's on it
- The one formula: sell price = cost ÷ (1 − target margin). A $100 tire at a 30% margin sells for $142.86.
- Margin → markup table from 15% to 50% margin, with the cost multiplier and the price on a $100 and a $150 tire.
- Markup → real margin: a 30% markup is only a 23.1% margin; a 50% markup is 33.3%.
- Add-on fees checklist: valve stems, TPMS kits, disposal, state tire fee, road hazard, shop supplies, card fees and more.
